Leadership

Clubs, classes, and teachers, if you would like to host an event anywhere on our campus please contact Mr German, Ms Westerman, or Ms KB via email so we can get you on the calendar of events.

Leadership is still looking for performers for the rally. Our next rally is planned for Friday May 18th, 2018. If you have friends that are shy , but you know that they have talent, give them a confidence nudge to go audition in front of the leadership class 2nd pd.

General Announcements

  • Congratulations to the Highlands’ mock trial team.  Both the defense and prosecution teams have won their first rounds.  Highlands is now in 5th place overall in a field of 16 schools. The next round will be held on Thursday, February 15.

  • Each and every Friday is Scots Spirit Friday. Make sure you drop by the Leadership room or see us out on the Scotland Yard, or in the cafeteria to get scanned for your 5 star points for wearing Highland gear.  Lets see which class or staff can outdo the other in rocking your gear every Friday.
  • If you are interested in starting a club, please see Mr German or Ms Westerman to attain the proper paperwork to get started. There is a 50 point 5 star incentive for anyone who starts a club, all you have to do is find an advisor, fill out the paperwork, list the students who want to be involved , and have a date and time set for your first meeting. Bring all the items to Mr German, to get them signed to get credit for starting a club

  • Attention students please  throw away all of your trash throughout the day especially during lunchtime. Starting soon, students can be rewarded for extra points for picking up trash which could lead to opportunities to participate in special events and activities. Thanks for helping keep Highlands clean, and safe!!!

  • Attention students who have received I.D. cards so far, please do not destroy your cards as they are needed to keep track of your participation of activities. These I.D. cards are in no way attached to any tracking of where you go day to day, only for activities at HHS or within our district.  If you don’t have your ID's you will not be able to get scanned which turns into rewards for students once you have accumulated so many points for participation. You will receive more information about the new student activity scanning system as it develops. So please remember in the future….NO CARD,NO SCAN, equals no Rewards.Try to make a practice of keeping your student I.D.’s on you at all times, as it makes it easier for leadership to keep track of your points for future participation.
