CAREER GOOGLE SLIDES ASSIGNMENT

Create a Google Slide Presentation:

                Log into Google Drive with your district id@twinriversusd.org

                Click New---Google Slides

                Name Google Slides: Per # Last Name Careers (ex. Per 1 weiskircher careers)

                You will be using the research that was saved on the Google Doc titled (Per. # last name Career Answers)

              Share your Google Slide Presentation with Howard German

            Link to a sample template 

Requirements for Google slide Presentation:

        There will be ten slides in allTitle slide, Career interest, Job Profile, Skills Needed , Education and Training, Special Requirements, Salary, Colleges and Universities, Goals, and Citations

Each slide should have a title….The bold black within the parenthesis should be the title of slide

Add an image to each slide that represents the topic (Slide title)

The information on each slide can be in bullet format or in a paragraph- your choice

  1. (Title Slide) State name of Career and your Name

  2. (Career Interest) List at least 3 careers that interest you

  3. (Job Profile) Describe the job profile that you have chosen

  4. (Skills needed for the job) List the skills that are needed for that job

  5. (Education and Training) What kind of education and training will you need for your job?

  6. (Special Requirements) List special requirements for the job

  7. (Salary) List the salary range for the job

  8. (Colleges and Universities) List at least 5 colleges and universities that support your field of study

  9. (Goals) List 3 career smart goals

  10. (Citation) Copy and paste the MLA citation from resources used

Using Ferguson's Career Guide- Find your career and answer these questions:

  1. Briefly describe a job profile that you have chosen.

  2. What is the salary for that job?

  3. Looking at the employment prospects section determine how many people are already in that field?

  4. What kind of education and training will you need for your job?

  5. List some special requirements that you’ll need for your job.

  6. Go to school search and select each tab (answering all prompted questions) to determine a college or university that will be a match for your job.
